SAY HELLO TO OLÉ DENIM

Based in Canada, Olé Denim was founded in 2013 by Chris Watchorn. In 2009, Chris was an intern at 3sixteen, learning the denim business firsthand. OLÉ Denim spent two years developing their first model, and now the OLÉ 306 is here to say, “Hello.”

306 15oz KUROKI DENIM

Fit: A slim taper fit with a medium rise. Not a strong taper, the silhouette is in between a slim taper and slim straight.

Fabric: Right hand twill, 15.3oz sanforized selvedge denim from Kuroki Mills in Okayama, Japan. Indigo warp with a red cast and white weft. Woven on the Toyoda loom out of 100% Zimbabwe cotton. Rope dyed with raw indigo, dipped 7 times. This denim has a tight and pretty uniform weave, almost like a Japanese version of a Cone Mills denim. Very light slub in the warp and weft.

First Impressions: A clean and simple pair of denim. No bells and whistles, just a few details to reinforce the durability of the jeans. I like the 6 belt loops and double chain stitching on the  waistband. Slim fit but not skinny. A great option for someone just getting into raw Japanese denim.
