First Impressions: This is my first ever waxed canvas jacket and I love it. I has a great fit that is cropped a little higher than I usually prefer but I think it suits this jacket and it gives a clean, urban cool vibe to this classic work wear staple. The construction is very solid and clean. I really like how the hand hammered copper rivets and buttons look against the deep carmel-tan color of the waxed canvas. Not many rainy days in LA but you can be sure this jacket will be worn on every one of them. I like that its not lined so I can wear on the not so cold and rainy days as well. I would recommend wearing with an old cotton tee for the fist few wears as I noticed a slight wax rub off on the first few wears. So excited for how this jacket will patina!
The Encampment Co. has a very strong start, definitely a brand to keep an eye on. You can purchase this jacket at The Encampment Co. website.
